8 Signs that Fukushima Radiation is Blasting the Oceans and U.S.

8 Signs that Fukushima Radiation is Blasting the Oceans and U.S.

If you listen to Tepco and Japanese officials, you are bound to be confused about how bad Fukushima’s lasting effects really are. One moment they say everything is under control at the Fukushima nuclear plant, and the next they’re admitting radiation levels are 95% higher than originally stated. One would have to be awfully trusting or awfully ignorant to think the radioactive water spilling into the ground and eventually the sea wouldn’t spread throughout the world. The West Coast of Canada and the US is already seeing some effects. Read More »

Fukushima Radiation Turns Into Alaska’s Tragedy

Fukushima Radiation Turns Into Alaska’s Tragedy

We know we are being lied to about Fukushima. Even amateurs with little academic training in reading equipment know that the levels of radiation hitting Alaska are in excess of those experienced in the cold war era of the 1960s. The radiation in the North Pacific due to above ground nuclear testing were regarded as fairly high. The levels being experienced now is higher than that, at least as measured by local residents. Researchers: Skin ulcers on Alaska wildlife after Fukushima were never observed before

We also worked with the North Slope Borough on the Unusual Mortality Event with the ringed seals. [...] We didn’t see any radiation levels in the seal tissues that would indicate levels of radiation that should have caused the lesions and illnesses that they saw on the seals, but we couldn’t document what the fallout pattern would have been at this time the seals were on the ice when the Fukushima plumes were passing that area. Nor to my knowledge has there been any definitive virus or otherwise defined as to what exactly affected the seals at that time. Read More »

Fish Is Off the Menu in South Korea Over Radiation Fears

"There have been no buyers yet," said fish trader Choi Mi-ja as the clock ticked toward 3 p.m., some 10 hours after her store at the Noryangjin Fisheries Wholesale Market opened for the day. "In 26 years in this business, I've never seen anything like this before," Ms. Choi added, standing by tanks where live, locally bred flatfish and Russian-imported king crabs were displayed. Japanese Physician Calls For Evacuation Of Tokyo

Dr. Shigeru Mita, Mita Clinic in Tokyo: Our patients mostly come from Tokyo, Chiba, Kanagawa, Saitama, and other Northern Kanto areas. The pediatricians’ general textbook says that reference value of neutrophil [the most abundant type of white blood cells, essential part of immune system] for healthy children (6-12 years old) is [...] 4000, but it has shifted to 2500. It is lower than the threshold value of 3000. I think this points at a serious problem. [...] Read More »

The Fukushima Crisis Comes to the U.S

The Fukushima Crisis Comes to the U.S

The catastrophe at the Fukushima nuclear power plant -- aka Yesterday's Tragedy -- appears to be ongoing, and Alaska now has become part of the story. Some radiation has arrived in northern Alaska and along the west coast. That's raised concern over contamination of fish and wildlife. More may be heading toward coastal communities like Haines and Skagway. Douglas Dasher, a researcher at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, says radiation levels in Alaskan waters could reach Cold War levels. "The levels they are projecting in some of the models are in the ballpark of what they saw in the North Pacific in the 1960s," he said. Read More »

Expert confirms radioactive water on way to West Coast and arriving in next few months; Will we really be told if it’s dangerous?

Fukushima Rad Water 3-4 Mos From West Coast

In-depth look at potential fallout [...] The Fukushima nuclear power plant continues to spew radiation. It’s 5,300 miles from Los Angeles — and still not far enough. [...] Nuclear Engineer Dr. Arjun Makhijani, president of the Institute for Energy and Environmental Research, confirmed that ocean currents are carrying the radioactive water to the West Coast.
